. Description of committee role
I'm the Mini's Manager - I mainly do the admin for this role and I'm here for parents to answer any of their questions they might have. And if possible to be around to meet when they first take their child to a training session.
I am also the club's Welfare Officer - I'm available to anyone under 18 who might not be too happy or have an issue with anything club related or even outside of the club like at school or home. Any grievances, feeling ignored or bullied. Basically I'm that person who will listen and try to help the best I can to put things right or just to be a listening ear if you want to have a moan about a coach or a teammate.
Sometimes just to point you in the right direction of someone who might be better qualified to help. This does actually go for adult club members too.
I'm always available and easy to get hold of, a good listener and discreet. Anyone can email me or Whatsapp or text etc. Phone calls I can return, when I'm not working.

3. When did you first pick up a hockey stick? Haha, this would be back in secondary school, many moons ago. I've not played since school and I have no intention on playing hockey! I leave that to my family.
4. Position? Behind the bar serving and helping Tina do the "teas" when my husband has home games :)
5. Reason for joining FEHC? My husband joined back in early 1992 and then my daughter as a Mini at the age of 7 (soon to be 21) and so I was a hockey widow very early on at the weekends LOL.
We've been with the club for 30 years this year!!
6. When not playing hockey you'll find me.. Working as a Care Professional with the elderly and mainly caring for people with dementia. And some nights in the pub playing poker, where I organise and run the evenings too.
7. Best moment on the pitch? I don't have one personally but when my daughter's in goal doing star jumps because her team are so good or when my husband scores ;)
8. Who would you invite to dinner? Sarah Millican, she's hilarious!!!
9. Most famous person you've met? Can't think, but the most recent was Bruce Grobbelaar (former goalkeeper for Liverpool) when I was sat across the aisle from him on the plane, on the way to Las Vegas in May this year.
10. Cream or jam first..... Jam first for me, as I like butter on the base, jam and then the cream.
